Artist's Comments

This I took for a digital photography class (which I just finished-- yay!) Fall semester '06 for my final project. The aesthetic point of the series I did was to respond to Vermeer's (17th century dutch painter most famous for "Girl with a Peal Earring", for all you awesome Art History students) use of light and female domestic scenes in a contemporary sense. Not sure how well the concept worked, but still I love how well the light and color on this one turned out.
Yay!

OMG. Yay Vermeer. He's my favorite, so I'm definitely in love with the concept.
